Antigua and Barbuda

Antigua is located in the middle of the Leeward Islands in the East Caribbean area. There are several islands nearby such as Montserrat, St Barts and St Kitts.

 

 

Antigua is approximatly 14 miles long and 11 miles wide. Its highest point is named Boggy Point which is just over 1300 ft and its located in the south west of the island. Barbuda island is located around 30 miles north of Antigua is considerably smaller measuring only 68 square miles. The nations population is approximatly 68000 and the nations capital isthe city of St Johns in Antigue.

 

 

Temperatures can range from around 74 degrees in winter to the mid eighties in summer. Antigue is the sunniest of the Caribbean islands as it recieves only 45 inches of rainfall every year.
